I found this photo while going through an old box I had not opened in years. My dad passed away in an accident thirty years ago and this was the last picture we ever took together. For most of my life it existed only as a fading memory something I tried to hold onto but could never fully see anymore. The way he looked at me the gentle smile he always had the way his arms held me close it all came back so vividly. For a brief moment it felt like I was standing there with him again a feeling I thought I would never experience for the rest of my life

My grandmother has always said that her wedding day with my grandfather was the most beautiful and unforgettable moment of her life. So for her birthday this year, I decided to turn their old wedding photo into a short video as a special gift. When she watched it, she covered her mouth and started to cry. Seeing her and my grandfather come alive again the smiles, the way he looked at her felt like she was stepping back into the memory she has held closest to her heart. It is a gift I know she will never forget.
